Control Hunger and Cravings

Control hunger and cravings, and you can lose weight faster.

Read this and you'll be on your way to knowing more on how to lose weight successfully.

  1. Eat enough healthy proteins! This is one of the main ways to control hunger in a healthy way. You get a fuller feeling when you eat enough lean proteins. You are able to stave off hunger and reduce your appetite with the increased production of certain hormones in your body. Thanks to proteins!
  2. Consume fiber-rich foods! You get a fuller feeling with fiber expanding in your stomach. Like proteins, you are able to lengthen your hunger intervals. Your body also takes in less fats and oils, which are absorbed by fiber. With the help of insoluble fiber, your colon is safer with shorter exposure to cancer-causing substances.

So go get more fruits and vegetables! Replace your white rice and pasta with complex carbs! Take fiber supplements for a sure supply of fiber.

    Get soluble and insoluble fiber!
Support growth of friendly intestinal bacteria!
  3. Eat foods which have low glycemic index (GI).

When you eat low GI foods, your body produces more cholecystokinin, a satiety hormone. Some low GI foods are apple, banana, blackberry, blueberry, buckwheat, flaxseed, grape, grapefruit, kiwi, legumes, muesli, oatmeals, orange, peach, pear, plum, quinoa, raspberry, strawberries, most vegetables, long grain rice, sweet potato, low-fat fruit yogurt, and plain unsweetened yogurt.

On the other hand, if you eat high GI foods, your body rapidly absorbs the sugars (called glucose). This changes your hormonal and metabolic functions resulting to eating more food! So, avoid high GI foods like baguettes, doughnuts, ice cream, jelly beans, pretzels, rice cakes, rice crispies, waffles, and white bread.

  4. Take healthy amounts of guarana.

Do you want to boost your metabolism and reduce your appetite at the same time? Guarana can help you.

This is great especially when you’re active – be it exercise, house chores, or leisure sports. Guarana expands your airways. You get more oxygen to every cell in your body. This also results to better mental alertness and more energy.

  6. Get proper nutrition. Fad diets may result to poor health and unpleasant physical appearance. Focus on giving yourself proper nutrition and lose weight to get a real winning solution for the long term.

Think of it this way, you gained excess weight because you eat too much foods which are rich in simple carbs, sugars, fats, and preservatives/additives. You do not eat much of fruits, vegetables, and fish. There is clearly an imbalance in your diet. This is called malnutrition.

Believe it or not, getting proper nutrition is the best way for you to lose weight and gain better health. Do this everyday for the rest of your life. You will be pleasantly surprised with your experience and results.

To make sure that you get proper nutrition, you can eat low-calorie nutrient-packed meal replacements. If you find it challenging to eat 7 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, take nutritional supplements. There’s even one where you can get the equivalent of anti-oxidants from 7 fruits and vegetables!

These will definitely help you get the nutrition you need on a daily basis. And you control hunger and cravings as well.

  7. Avoid foods rich in sugar.

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a kind of sugar that is added in many foods in the supermarkets, fast-food chains, and restaurants. The most common is soft drinks. This makes you fat whether or not you exercise. The more HFCS you consume, the more hungry you get. You tend to eat more in your next meal. You lose control of your cravings and appetite. The fatter you become! You can become diabetic.

Keep in mind that sugars in every food that you eat add up. A bite of this. A sip of that. A slice of this. A scoop of that. They all add up. Be careful.

Say "NO!" to white/refined sugar and foods with it. White sugar destroys Vitamin B Complex and amino acids in your body. You need Vitamin B Complex for proper functioning of almost every process in your body. You also need amino acids to build and repair your body proteins, which are practically every part of your body other than water.

  8. Take food supplements that help control hunger and appetite.
  9. Burns fats,
    blocks cravings,
    boosts metabolism,
    and boosts your energy
    without causing irritability or restlessness!

  10. Drink water.

Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water a day keeps your body hydrated. If you are dehydrated, you are likely to experience false cravings or hunger. You will feel fatigue due to slower blood flow and less energy production.

Besides, drinking water can also make you feel full. It also helps you control hunger.

  11. Get enough sleep.

Get 8 hours of sleep every day. This reduces your risk of gaining weight and being obese.

Sleep deprivation raises the production of your hunger-producing hormones. It also greatly increases your appetite.

  12. Don’t eat junk food and fatty food.

Chips and similar junk food have additives that create cravings. When you start eating, you tend to finish a whole bag instead of less than a handful.

Fatty foods block the satiety hormone, leptin. You end up increasing your appetite, eating more food, and gaining weight. Also fight fatty foods with healthy fiber.

  13. Avoid stress including depression, boredom, and emotional problems.

These can increase levels of the hunger hormone, ghrelin, in your body. You feel hungry more often than you should be. So you eat more food and, eventually, gain excess weight.

Manage your stress well to control hunger. When you’re stressed, stay with happy people and watch funny shows!

  14. Keep yourself busy and active. Keeping your mind off food is a good way to deal with your cravings. Out of sight, out of mind. Stay away from places where you find the foods you crave for.

Be busy as a bee! Be active and keep burning calories. This is one of the tricks to lose weight.

These are just some ways for you to control hunger and cravings. But wait...
